Heredades is a small, traditional Spanish village only 7 mins from the town of Rojales and just 5 minutes from neighbouring Formentera del Segura which has many new bars, cafeīs and supermarkets. Heredades itself has several shops selling general goods, a bakery, butcher as well as 3 ample restaurants serving local cuisine in addition to some excellent īmenu del diaīs. Due to it being away from the main tourist areas you will find that prices in the village are much lower than elsewhere.

costa blancaThe village also offers 4 bars, a village park including childrens playground, community swimming pool which is open during the summer months and much much more. If you choose to visit during August, you will find that the village transforms from a sleepy, peaceful place as the village comes alive during 10 days of fiestas which include a street carnival, discos, theatre shows and a dance contest as well as the annual crowning ceremony of the village kings and queens.

In addition you will find Heredades is just 10 minutes drive to the beautiful sandy beaches of Guardamar, which stretch for miles allowing you to find a peaceful spot whether near the promenade and itīs stretch of cafes or by the marina. Ciudad Quesada which is also a 10 minute drive offers pitch and putt as well as a childrenīs water park.

costa blancaIn fact there is excellent access from the village to all the surrounding areas including Alicante or Murcia (motorway connection is just 3 mins away), several golf courses including La Finca and Las Marquesas which is only a 5 minute drive and within 15 mins of Torrevieja including Carrefour and the Habaneras shopping centre. Both Alicante and Murcia airports are just 30 mins drive away. A local bus service also operates from the village.
costa blancaVery close by and accessible either by car in just 5 minutes or a 20 minute walk on-foot via a country lane takes you to the larger town of Almoradi with itīs many restaurants, bars and shops. In Almoradi you will find a pretty town square, and every Saturday you can visit the market which takes over the streets offering local produce, handicrafts or chocolate and churros, a famous Spanish snack.
