The lakes and nearby mountain areas are ideal for walking, cycling or bird watching. There are 5 golf courses nearby and Torrevieja is less than ten minutes away by car where you will find a large commercial shopping centre, with international restaurants, bowling, and an Aqua Park. There are 17km of blue flag beaches along the coast from Torrevieja to Guardamar and the warm water and therapeutic mud spas of the Mar Menor are worth the 30 minute drive. For shoppers and people watchers local markets can be found every day in nearby towns and the cities of Alicante, Murcia and Benidorm are all easily accessible by motorway. We would recommend using a car to get about as there is plenty to see and do.
